1982 VW Rabbit - Driver's Side Front Door Open
This is one of the worse pictures, but you can see the driver's door armrest is a bit torn. That seatbelt is all there is - VW designed it without a lap belt, instead they have an aluminum thing your knees are supposed to hit to keep you from sliding into the floorboard. I guess it's safe, but I'd feel a lot better with a lap belt also. At least you never have to take the seatbelt off or put it on - it's off when the door is open and on when the door's shut. There was originally a starter interlock such that the seatbelt had to be connected in order for the car to start, but that's disabled now.
